Recycle Leather & Diamond Armor.

Although the recycling has some loss, but it is worthwhile if you have a lot of useless armor in stock. I have refrained from iron and gold armor, since one can melt these already.

While I understand why you decided not to include Iron and Gold parts in your datapack, smelting them normally gives you Iron and Gold Nuggets respectively, while your datapack gives you full pieces of leather or full diamonds in comparison. Isn't that kinda inconsistent?

For what it's worth, I like your datapack regardless. but I would personally include the iron parts in the mix, for consistency's sake. It would be even better if there was a way to disable Minecraft's smelting recipes for those items too.

thanks for the feedback.
These DataPacks are my first. I try out different functions myself and still learn. I do not know if you can disable Vanilla recipes. In Minecraft, unfortunately, there are no diamond fragments, if then I would have involved too.

Yeah, it doesn't look like you can add new items entirely, that's why I suggested to make the datapack work with the Iron and Gold parts too.

It's a cool first datapack bte, simple but effective, I liked it. It seems to be working perfectly fine on the latest snapshot too, I thought I should mention it.
